This package contains 32 and 64 bit drivers for the Starlight Xpress

these drivers.

                        -= Quick Start =-

     run the "Install Drivers.exe" You will be prompted to allow the installer to
     run with administrative rights, select YES.

     Note: If you are unsure whether your system is 32 or 64 bit you can
     run the 32bit/Install Drivers.exe and will receive an error saying

     "You have to run the 64-bit version of DPInst on this machine"

     in which case, instead run 64bit/Install Drivers.exe

   - When asked "Do you want to allow the following program to make
     changes to your computer?"

     Check the verified publisher is "Starlight Xpress LTD" then select yes.

   - The installation wizard will appear, click next to continue the install
   - A box will appear asking you whether you trust software signed by "Starlight Xpress LTD"
   - Select Install

* CAMERA NOT DETECTED

Do you have an older USB1.1 based camera like the MX716? If so, you will also
need to download and install the SXLoader driver package and follow the instructions
in the associated readme file before these drivers can be used.

* NO IMAGE CAPTURE

If when using Nebulosity/MaxIm DL you are unable to capture an image, ensure
the external camera power is connected (where applicable) prior to pluging the
camera into the PC via the USB cable. Note, for USB1.1 camera users, that
required the SXLoader drivers, it's important you do the reverse, plug your
CCD interface into the PC first, then into the mains.

* BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH (CRASH)

We have received a few reports of BSOD crashes when an attempt is made to use
the camera in various applications. After investigation into the issue we have
discovered the source of the problem is not the Starlight Drivers but instead
is due to the Fresco USB3 system drivers.

Users experiencing this problem have worked around it by disabling all USB3
items in the device manager.

It may be worth checking for updated USB3 drivers from your PC supplier
occasionally in case Fresco resolve this problem in the future.

* INSTALL PROBLEM

Firstly, reboot before doing anything else, this can solve most problems that are
related to windows having to update locked files.

Ensure the "Universal Serial Bus devices" section is listed in the device manager with
an entry called "Starlight XPress CCD". Ensure there is not a yellow warning triangle
on the icon.

If you have no entry, locate the "Other Devices" section. If you
see an "ECHO2" device listed with a yellow warning triangle, there's
a problem with your driver installation. If you seen an "Unknown Device" listed
this may be your Camera and also indicate a driver installation problem.
Disconnect the camera, uninstall the drivers, reboot your PC, then reinstall
the drivers and finally reconnect your camera.

* SYSTEM RESTORE

As long as you have not attempted to install any additional drivers, you can restore
your system to a point prior to the installation of the Starlight XPresss CCD drivers.

I do not recommend this option unless you know what you're doing, if in doubt, ask
someone who does.
